This gluten-free recipe is a favorite because you can easily make it ahead, weeks before the holidays. I do not know anyone who doesn’t find themselves crazy busy the last few weeks before Christmas. Having gluten-free recipes you can make 3-4 weeks before the holidays, will save you time come end of December. It will store 3-4 weeks in an airtight container.
HOW TO MAKE THE CHEX MIX:
- Add dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix well.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Add the butter to a small bowl and melt in microwave.
- Add the chili and garlic powder, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce to butter and stir well.
- Pour sauce over dry cereals and mix well with a spatula.

A spicy Chex mix is the perfect blend of flavours and my gluten-free recipe uses ingredients like chili and garlic powder, hot sauce, gluten-free Worcestershire sauce, gluten-free rice and honey Chex, gluten-free oat cereal, pretzels, peanuts and pecans. I Iike to sprinkle Maldon sea salt all over the cookie sheet once the mix is done baking.
Nothing says the holidays like a bowl of Chex mix sitting on the coffee table as well as other snacks. Now you can make a gluten-free version that is JUST as delicious!
