I love a good hot dip! My favourites are my recipes for bacon and pear compote baked brie, cranberry baked brie, apple cinnamon baked brie and of course this one I shared today. This hot creamy dip is so simple I yet so flavourful. It uses simple ingredients that you probably have on hand.
My favourite dipper is toasted Schar sliced baguette. To make you take a gluten-free baguette and slice it diagonally. Then lightly butter each side and sprinkle garlic salt over each piece. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 min. Flip the slices at the 5 minute mark. Remove and store in a ziploc bag. The perfect dipper!
Creamy and savoury gluten-free baked feta dip is made with baby tomatoes, dried and fresh basil, chili oil, honey, feta cheese and good olive oil. I added chili oil to the recipe for I wanted the baked feta dip to have a nice kick to it. Add more or less depending on your spice preference.
A simple gluten-free appetizer that doesn’t skimp on taste. It is perfect when served with Schar gluten-free baguette toast slices. I explained how to make them in a previous paragraph. We all know that most gluten-free crackers break easily. That is why I make and keep a bag of the toasted baguette slices, ready in case I need them.
HOW TO MAKE THE DIP:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Add the feta round to the ceramic dish.
- Arrange the tomatoes all around the feta.
- Top the feta with the chili oil and honey.
- Sorinkle the dried basil over the dish.
- Pour the olive oil over dish.
- Add a couple torn basil leaves to dish.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes.
- Sprinkle the remaining basil leaves and green onions on the dip.
- Remove, stir and serve.
