Gluten-free green goddess dressing is filled with a fresh basil and green onions which are responsible for giving the dressing the lovely green hue. A healthy, easy to make salad dressing that takes less than 5 minutes to make. I love that!
HOW TO MAKE THE DRESSING:
- Chop the green onions and remove basil leaves from stems.
- Add all ingredients to a magic bullet and blend until almost smooth.
- Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
- Will last 4-5 days.
Green goddess is not an original name for a dressing. You can find many many different but similar versions on the internet. Some use avocado, or greek yogurt, or omit the buttermilk, or add other fresh herbs like parsley, cilantro and dill. The variations are endless, but I can assure you, the taste is delicious!
This gluten-free goddess dressing is bright, tangy and oh so creamy. A favourite salad for me is to use butter lettuce and leave it in bigger chunks in the salad bowl. Add thinly sliced radishes, cucumbers, baby tomatoes and then top with some grilled shrimp. Simply devine!

Gluten-Free Green Goddess Dressing
- 1/2 Cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 Cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 Cup buttermilk
- 1/2 Tsp minced garlic
- 1-2 Tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 green onion, chopped
- Add all ingredients to a mini food processor or magic bullet and process until smooth.
- Pour into a small jar and place in refrigerator until ready to use.
