Ingredients

chopped pitted dates

baking soda

softened butter
(or Earth Balance Baking Sticks(non-dairy))

brown sugar

cup
gluten-free flour blend

tsp
gluten-free baking powder

tsp
ground cinnamon
1/4
tsp
cardamon and cloves

large eggs
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease ramekins well.
Place ramekins on a cookie sheet.
In small saucepan bring water and dates to a boil and stir.
Remove from heat.
Add baking soda and stir.
Let stand for 10 minutes.
Pour softened dates into a medium bowl.
Add softened butter and beat well.
Add brown sugar and eggs and beat well.
Add rest of the ingredients and beat on low until combined.
Pour date batter into each ramekin about 2/3 full.
Bake in oven for 28-32 minutes depending on the size of ramekins you use.
Remove from oven. Top with caramel sauce. Recipe below.
