Baked Gluten-Free Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

These homemade gluten-free baked donuts are soft and cakey and are dusted with a cinnamon sugar coating.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease 2 donut pans well. This recipe made 9 donuts for me.
  • In a medium bowl add the eggs and sweetener and beat with a hand mixer.
  • Add the oil and applesauce and beat again.
  • In a small bowl mix the milk and vinegar together.
  • Add the sour milk and mix on low.
  • Add the gluten-free flour, baking powder and cinnamon and mix on low speed. Increase speed to medium and beat until you have a smooth batter.
  • Spoon 1/2 the batter into a disposable icing bag. Cut about 1/2 inch tip off bag.
  • Pipe batter into greased donut pans.
  • Lightly tap donut pan before placing in oven.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes.
  • Remove and set aside.
  • Remove donuts from pan after 3-4 minutes of cooling.
  • Mix up cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and sprinkle each donut while they are still warm.
  • Enjoy!
